The Modera.net platform offers improved speed, usability and updatability. All program anddesign logic is designed separately, allowing fast and efficient output and design. Main objects and modules are object-oriented for clean overall logic and seamless updates. Single modules can be updated, changed or added without interruption. Module references and commands are automatically processed when found inside templates, and any language file references within templates are also automatically processed. Modera.net also uses page-specific, module-specific and time-limited caching to deliver fully dynamic content virtually at the speed of simple static web pages.

Content is stored in an SQL database, separated into logical tables and fully indexed for fast reference. Module-specific data is also stored within a database; however, any single module can be designed to act otherwise.

Files are stored in the server file system, offering the fastest possible access method. File information is stored in an SQL database. Whenever necessary, administrators can map all file requests within the main program, allowing file download for authorized users only.

Modera.net uses an advanced caching protocol. Partial or full single-page caching reduces page load time by several hundred percent. Administrators can cache full pages or specific module outputs, all with defined time intervals (the duration a cache is kept). Administers can store the cache either in an SQL database or a file system, the latter being primarily used.

Modera uses the highest security methods available. Passwords are encrypted, denying access to program settings, configuration files and outside source programs. Session parameters are only stored in session cookies, and never saved to a user’s hard drive, destroyed when the browser window is closed. The Modera.net platform fully supports HTTPS pages. Administrators may use additional encryption and secure certificate-based tunneling. Database access is available only from within the server and all source code is encrypted and precompiled using ionCube encoder for increased speed and protection.
